Three HOT Business Tips You Must Have!

1. Get Good Photos. Lots of ’em!

For me, this tip originally came from Denise Duffield-Thomas.
And then from watching Leonie Dawson’s branding reach magical proportions.
Get good photos.
You will not regret it.
It’s made a huge difference to my biz and continues to raise my profile.
Everything started to shift and change when I got myself a swathe of good photos.

Plus, graphic designers will LOVE you!

There’s nothing more frustrating than trying to manipulate dodgy photos.
A selection of hi-res photos will give your designer (even if that designer is you!) something decent to work with. The results will be professional and enchanting.
Keep updating your photos, too.  We live in a highly visual world. It gobbles up images at frightening speed.
It’s essential to keep your branding lively and on point.

2. Deal With Your Money Blocks

You cannot run a successful business, and more importantly, you cannot be a healthy, grounded leader if you haven’t at least started to clear your money blocks.

Money blocks sabotage the best intentions.

Money blocks hold us back, fill us with fear, make us play small and/or quit too early.

They lead to frustration and  bitterness, sabotage our potential and undermine our confidence.

Clearing your money blocks is an ongoing commitment. There’s alway more to uncover.

But it’s worth the effort.

Trying to run a business while denying your money blocks is like running a marathon with a fridge strapped to your back. It’s really  dumb.

3. Learn everything you can about marketing.

It doesn’t matter how amazing your product is, if you don’t know how to market it, if you don’t know how to spread the word, put energy behind your offering and draw the right people to you, your lemonade stand will topple before it even gets started.

Marketing is your friend. It’s also your clients’ friend. They need to know what you have and what it can do for them.

As the marketing gurus say , don’t sell on your heels. Step forward. Learn to market with ease and sincerity.

Marketing is sophisticated sharing. That’s all.

4. You will always be scared.

Everyone is scared.

Being visible is scary.

Speaking your truth is scary.

Selling, marketing, making offers, is really friggin scary.

So what?

The more you do it, the less scary it becomes.

And the more people you help with your product or services, the more you realise just how valuable your efforts are. Just how important it is to have courage and self-compassion.

That makes ‘scary’ bearable.

And it makes you a fantastic role model.

Courageous, playful, self-aware role models make the world a much better place.

I like that.

It spurs me on.

I hope it spurs you on, too.
